About the treatment
Unlike the Invisalign method, the Inman aligner is not completely transparent and has a metal bar that is visible across the front teeth. However, this device offers similar advantages to invisible braces systems. Teeth straightening in adult patients is performed in the same way as it is for children and adolescents, through the process of moving the teeth by applying pressure in various ways.
There is a difference in techniques, primarily because the oral cavity is still developing at a young age, making it easier to shape and arrange. Additionally, for adults, aesthetics during treatment are of utmost importance, so they often prefer using clear and removable devices that do not interfere with their lifestyle. Alongside choosing the right method for treatment, it is important to ensure that you undergo the process with an experienced specialist, preferably one with certification from the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Questions and Answers
Yes, absolutely! Even if you didn’t receive proper treatment at a young age, you can now undergo a successful teeth straightening process on your way to the desired smile.
It doesn’t matter if treatment was avoided in your childhood due to your parents’ financial reasons, difficulty adjusting to treatment at a young age, or because older treatment methods didn’t suit your specific issue—now, as an adult, you are free to reconsider the treatment.
Even if you had teeth straightening at the appropriate age but didn’t maintain wearing retainers, your teeth may have shifted over time, and you might now require another round of straightening. Even at 70 or 80 years old, teeth can be straightened, and although the process may be slightly slower, the results can still be excellent.
The Inman aligners are a type of orthodontic device capable of straightening or moving your teeth to the desired position. Many dentists use Inman aligners as an alternative treatment to Invisalign® invisible braces. However, Inman aligners have limitations on the level of straightening they can achieve and are typically effective for upper or lower front teeth. They are not suitable for cases with significant crowding. After a consultation, your dentist can determine if Inman aligners are appropriate for your treatment.
Similar to the Invisalign system, the Inman aligner is a removable device used to move teeth over time. The system relies on forces generated by a coiled spring on the lingual side of the teeth (the inner side) and a bar that sits across the front (outer) part of the tooth, which “squeezes” the teeth and shifts their positions using pressing and pulling forces.
– Shorter treatment times compared to invisible aligners.
– The device is removable, making it easy to eat and clean your teeth during treatment.
– More affordable than invisible aligners.
– Only one aligner is needed to complete the entire treatment.
– **Health and Hygiene Benefits:** Crowded or misaligned teeth are harder to clean, leading to poor oral hygiene. Additionally, uneven wear on teeth due to improper chewing can occur, leading to gum disease and, over time, potential tooth loss. Properly aligned teeth improve chewing efficiency and prevent these issues. Furthermore, a proper bite reduces the strain on the digestive system, preventing its premature aging compared to the rest of the body. Teeth straightening treatment improves chewing and prevents these problems.
